Fenrir needs the microphone only while you talk, so it can turn your speech into text for chat. The browser asks for mic access when you tap Allow — audio is not recorded silently in the background.

This permanently removes your Fenrir login and anonymizes your chats. Re-enter your password to confirm (Google-only accounts: leave password blank and check the box). If Fenrir is installed (home-screen PWA / Capacitor), you get the stronger installed-app protection tier (SW integrity, persistence, permission inventory, overlay phishing). This is still not antivirus: a web/PWA cannot quarantine malware like Malwarebytes.

With consent Fenrir inspects permissions, storage, network hints, install/PWA/Capacitor signals, update channel, and phishing-style origin checks. Optional camera/mic/location samples are short and timed out if the OS dialog hangs. Stay signed in and keep Fenrir in the foreground while the scan runs. For email leak lookup, use Breach / leak check separately.
